Positive thinking has plenty of supporters along with many skeptics that say it can bring along false hope within our lives. The type of positive thinking that I am talking about does not include positive thoughts just so that you can feel great. When I talk about positive thinking, I mean thinking that is aligned with the best version of who we are as people. This can be absolutely different for everyone, depending on your aspirations and goals in life.
Thoughts Mirrored Within Reality
What we think about and dwell upon continuously within our lives usually tends to show up way more than the things that appear to be completely random. This is due to the fact that our repetitive thoughts shape our subconscious minds, and our subconscious mind draws in information from the world around us. Once the information is processed, our feelings guide us towards what we are aligned with and thinking about the most. This is a major part in how the law of attraction works and why positive thinking can have a profound impact on our happiness.
When we start to think of how our thoughts are mirrored to manifest within our reality, we can start to take much more control of our lives. This is one of the simplest ways that I have learned to think about shaping our reality because it sparks the imagination and allows room for possibilities. This does mean that we need to replace the things that we don’t want with positive thinking and great thoughts of what we do want. By positive thinking, I simply mean thoughts that drive us forward in life and support who we truly are and want to be.

Positive Thinking In Your Life
In order to kick start and allow positive thinking to have an effect on your life, you need to have a clear outline of what you want. It can work by just saying things like “I am happy and my life is amazing”, but there can be a much larger impact when we make it personal and related to specific attitudes, wants, beliefs, etc. that we know we want.
Let’s say that we want to mirror more adventure in our lives because we are too wrapped up in work and redundant daily tasks. We could put together some positive thoughts such as “My life is adventurous and I am always finding new things to do”, or “I stay intrigued by all of the new experiences and excitement within my life”. I don’t underestimate the power of vague affirmations, but sometimes being more specific can fill in the holes that negative beliefs have created within ourselves.
Life is shaped and molded by our thoughts and belief systems. Make time every now and then for reflection whenever you know that you need it most. It is important to take the time to do this and breathe new life into things that have become very habitual and monotonous.
